Doggy Golden Rules!

SCOOP YOUR DOGS POOP!

Always carry bags with you for poop scooping and clear up after your dog!

TRAIN YOUR DOG WITH KINDNESS!

Choke/check chains, pinch collars and extendable leads can be dangerous and have the potential to injure dogs and owners. Shouting at, manhandling of, or punishment of your dog leads to a breakdown in the relationship between dog and owner.

TRAIN YOUR CHILDREN TOO!

Owning a dog can be very rewarding for children, but please be responsible for your child and supervise any training. Carefully supervise your dog around other people’s children.

LEARN TO UNDERSTAND YOUR DOG!

Dogs behave differently if they are unwell or in season. Give them the space they need.

YOUR DOG DESERVES PAYMENT FOR A JOB WELL DONE!

We believe that reward based modern training methods are the most effective methods around today.

KEEP YOUR DOG SAFELY ON-LEAD

All dogs should be kept on lead near roads. It is a legal requirement that all dogs should wear a collars and ID tags with your details on. Keep your dog on lead around livestock at all times.

PRACTISE GOOD DOGGY MANNERS!

Please don’t let your dog approach another dog without checking with the owner that it is safe to do so. Not all dogs want to be friends! Never let your off-lead dog approach an onlead dog. This is just bad doggy manners and can create behavioural problems.
